Welcome to the Buffcon 29 homepage!

Buffcon 29 was presented on Sunday, April 15, 2012 by IPMS Niagara Frontier. The show was held at the Knights of Columbus Club, 2375 Union Rd., Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Thanks to everyone who attended - we had another great turnout! This website is the official source of information for the show. 7:45AM - Doors open for setup.
9:00AM - Admission and Registration open, raffle begins.
9:00AM - Coffee and donuts available for purchase.
10:00AM to 11:30AM - Miltary Miniature Presentation Demo (see below).
11:30AM to 1:00PM - Painting and Weathering Demos (see below).
12:00PM - Food available for purchase.
1:30PM - Judges meeting.
2:00PM - Registration closes.
2:00PM to 4:00PM - Judging (Vendors open).
4:00PM - Awards presentation.
5:00PM - teardown and cleanup.

General Admission - $6.00, under 12 FREE.
Admission free (for entrant only) with contest entry.
Senior entries - 1-3/$10.00, $2.00 each additional.
Junior (ages 11 - 17) - $1.00 each entry.
Bantam (under 11) - free.

Military Miniature Presentation

Jim Johnston (MFCA and Atlanta Grand Master) will be presenting a demonstration of military miniature presentation. The primary focus will be miniature staging, groundwork effects and perspective. Staging sets your work apart from the rest and shows a degree of originality that will grab the attention of others. Come see Jim's work and bring all your questions.

Painting and Weathering

Part 1: Joe Szczygielski - Basic Aircraft Painting
This demo will cover construction and detail tips for aircraft, including painting, decals and weathering using oils. Painting and detailing cockpits will also be reviewed.

Part 2: Joe Szczygielski - Basic Armor Weathering
This demo will cover construction and detail tips for armor, including painting, decals and weathering using oils. It will also include basic weathering for mud and grass, sand and dust.
